Xen™ Technology

x|encon vServers are virtualised servers: physical servers are beeing divided in several smaller, completely isolated and autarkic units, done by specially designed software. This way an abstraction layer is being provided for the user which isolates him from the real hardware including memory and computing power.

These created units, our vServers, appear like a conventional server to the user. Virtual harddisks are available and can be freely partitioned and formatted. Memory will be hard set from the system and this way is guaranteed to be available to the host. In short: The whole system replaces a "real" server with definite more flexibility and attractive costs.

Facts

  • Several virtualised servers are being hosted on a performant server-hardware ("proDOM"-server).
  • These virtualised systems ("vServer") are totally isolated from each other and each contain their own set of harddisks, RAM, network interfaces (including IP-addresses), kernel- and operating-system installations.
  • VirtualServer appear like conventional servers to the user.

In contrast to many of our competitors we use the perfomance winner Xen™ 3 for our virtualisation. Xen™ is currently the most advanced virtualisation concept and is beeing supported by a wide spectrum of hard- and software vendors.

Since 2005 we offer Xen™ based virtualisation solutions and posses our own development. In combination with our management software my.xencon.net we offer forward looking technolgy and comprehensive funtionality.
